The Mayton Inn is nestled in the heart of downtown Cary. This part of North Carolina is a special place for many couples all over the world. Some were raised in the area; others began relationships here or found and fell in love with this quaint city together. When choosing a venue for your wedding, it is important that you choose a venue that reflects you and your fiancé(e).

We have created an intimate atmosphere in one of the most historic and enchanting areas of the Cary area, and the Inn wants to share that with your closest family and friends. Imagine all of your friends and family under one roof, enjoying cocktails at the Highball bar before dinner, attending a bridal brunch in the dining room or rent the Inn for a business retreat.

An event at the Inn inspires memories that no large hotel can provide.  Everyone is able to mingle with those closest to them before the big day providing a family reunion atmosphere. Book the entire Inn and enjoy:

An Intimate Affair

A small, intimate wedding ceremony and reception (for 50 guests or fewer) can be held entirely at the Inn. Our Raines room or Waverly room would create a beautiful living room style ceremony that is both comfortable and elegant.

After your first kiss as a married couple, guests are escorted to the dining room for a delicious meal and wonderful conversation. Dancing and toasts can be held in the spacious Page room.

A Lively Shindig

For larger weddings, a couple can host a lively reception (up to 100 guests) all throughout the Inn!

Another option is to use the Inn as your wedding party headquarters. Begin your weekend celebration by welcoming your overnight guests with hot complimentary breakfast. Primp with your best girlfriends for your ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner in one of our luxurious suites. Gather your family and friends in the parlor to host a cocktail hour and then move to the dining room for a sophisticated or laid back rehearsal dinner full of food, friends, family, and fun!

With full access to the house, you could invite guests following the big day to join you for a farewell breakfast and to recount the evening’s reception!

Wedding FAQs

I have up to 100 people attending our reception, are you able to accommodate us?

Yes you can book the entire inn (45 rooms) and you are welcome to use our 4 event spaces at no additional cost. In order to ensure privacy for your event, and that of the other guest of The Mayton Inn a two-night minimum overnight stay is required for certain types of events. You will be informed of these requirements based on your event type and vision.

Why should I book the entire Inn?

Do I have to pay for each of my guest’s overnight accommodations?

You have a number of different options. You are welcome to pay for everyone’s accommodations, a few, or none. Additionally, you can also choose to subsidize a partial amount of your guest’s rooms.

What time is check-in?

Check-in starts at 3 p.m. Checkout is at 12 p.m. You are welcome to request early check-in on your reservation; however, this is not guaranteed and is often dependent on the guest staying prior to your arrival. If you require a guestroom to dress or otherwise prepare for your event, we strongly suggest reserving a room the night before the event. Arrangements can be made to store luggage for later departures. Please advise your guests accordingly.

We have welcome bags for my out-of-town guests; can the Front Desk hand out gift bags at check in?

The front desk is able to hand out a card or note at check-in. To have us hand out gift bags or place them in the rooms, we need them 24 hours prior to check-in.

Do you allow pets?

At this time we do not allow any pets. We are happy to recommend quality local boarding options. Our preferred boarder is the Town & Country their number is 919.387.7833

Do I have to schedule a tour to view the facility?

At any one time a private event may be hosted at the Inn. Therefore, we ask that you notify us in advance with a phone call or email prior to you arriving for a tour. In order to maintain our goal of providing a truly unique experience for your event, we strongly recommend you take a tour of the property in person prior to firmly selecting your event site. Please contact our Event Director to schedule your tour.
